A Playful Journey of Discovery

A play area by the water calls for play equipment that complements its surroundings. This was also the vision of the Municipality of Amsterdam for Park Oeverlanden.

Together, the Municipality of Amsterdam and our Sport & Play Advisor Kelly carefully considered the play value, choice of materials and overall appearance of the play area. The result is a play ship made entirely from Robinia wood, perfectly suited to this unique location on the Nieuwe Meer lake.

Close to the ferry, children can climb, scramble and set off on their own adventures. What makes the play ship even more exciting is the variety of activities it offers. Children can transport sand using a small bucket on a cable, take the helm, look through a telescope and discover much more.
