Besides that our Citybox contains sturdy cables and is low noise, it is also possible to make the Citybox accessible to the disabled. The newest Cityboxes from IJslander can be extended with an entrance for wheelchairs. The first was placed in Den Helder on the Vinkenterrein (The Netherlands).
The Citybox wheelchair access is designed so that wheelchair users can enter, but scooters and cyclists stay outside. This keeps Citybox safe for exercising. The entrance is a half open circle, which is made of the same material as the rest of the Citybox. This way, the entrance goes smoothly with the rest of the Citybox design.
Furthermore, this entrance also ensures that playing sports become more accessible for the entire neighborhood. From now on, everyone can participate in the neighborhood.
